Boulevard Park & Fairhaven Park

Papa Dan and Bama Marilyn brought Dylan home on Thursday after he stayed with them for a week in Hillsboro. On Friday morning, Dylan and Dave went with Papa and Bama to Boulevard Park, which is about 3.5 miles from home in Bellingham.

Dylan brought his new truck Mack with him (from the Cars movie).

The tide was low, and Dylan got to see some sea creatures.

Since it was Friday, the ferry to Alaska could be seen from the park.

Dylan and Daddy did some exploring.

After going to lunch, we headed to Fairhaven Park, which is about one mile further south than Boulevard Park from home. Dylan and Bama played in the water.

Oaks Park and Cannon Beach

On Tuesday (August 5th), we went to Oaks Park in Portland with Papa Dan, "Bama" Marilyn, and Uncle Justin. The first stop was at the motorcycles.

Next Dylan rode the rockets.

Dylan and Daddy rode in a hot-air balloon. Mommy and Bama rode in another balloon, and Uncle Justin rode in another.

Dylan's favorite ride of the day was the rollercoaster. He was upset each time we had to get off of it.

Dylan finished off the day on the cars.

On Wednesday (August 6th), we went to Cannon Beach.

We picked up a bucket and a shovel at the toy shop. Dylan loved digging and throwing the sand out into the ocean.

Dylan and Daddy built sand castles. Dylan enjoyed knocking them down.
