Family Trip To Montana

On Saturday morning (July 26th), we arrived at SeaTac airport for a flight to Bozeman, Montana. We headed there for the Shadoan family reunion (Dylan's Nana is the youngest of 11 Shadoan children). In this picutre, Dylan watched a DVD with Lynette while we waited for the plane.

Dylan loved his first plane ride! He announced, "I flying!" He also asked Lynette for the plane to go faster.

Dylan was tired, though, and ended up taking a long nap on the plane.

We camped at the KOA campground in Livingston that Dylan's great, great Aunt Lucy had built with her husband. Dylan played in the campground playground on Sunday morning before going to church.

Dylan had fun digging in the sand.

On Monday, we visited with Aunt Lucy at her home. Dylan played with one of her cats.

Dylan played with some toys at Aunt Lucy's house. He found a camera that he really liked.

Dylan pretended to take lots of pictures, but the camera was always pointing at him.

On Monday, Papa Dan, Grandma Marilyn (or Bama Marilyn, as Dylan would say it), and Uncle Justin loaded in our rental car with us. We drove to Yellowstone National Park. It was Dylan's first trip to Yellowstone, and it was his first time in Wyoming. In this picture, the three of us stood by the north entrance to the park.

Dylan saw his first elk walking across the street in front of the car.

We checked out some of the terraces by Mammoth Hotsprings.

We saw more elk while driving through the park.

Dylan also saw his first Buffalo, and he pronounced it "Buck-a-low." When he saw us taking so many pictures of it, he said, "Cheese, Buck-a-low!"

We arrived at the Old Faithful viewing area just as it was finishing an eruption. While we waited for the next eruption, Bama Marilyn shared her ice cream sandwich from the gift shop with Dylan.

Dylan enjoyed watching it erupt.

On Tuesday morning, Dylan rode the mechanical horse inside the KOA store. It was the same horse that his Daddy and Uncle Justin rode when they were boys and his Bama Marilyn rode when she was a girl.

Dylan swung with Bama Marilyn and Papa Dan one last time before leaving for the airport on Tuesday morning.

A Glimpse at what we've been up to.....

Happy 80th Birthday Nana! This was celebrating the big day with Nana and family in Spokane. We were so happy to spend the special day with her!

Why is it that the two year old takes up the entire king size bed?

Every two year old needs his very own "Cowboots" He loves them and asks to wear them often! Papa Rob and Grandma Helen took Dylan on a special outing to the mall to pick out his first pair of cowboy boots...

Birthday cupcakes.....Why not?! I think this may have been for breakfast the day after the big celebration. (I also think mommy was at work :) What a nice Daddy!!!

"Cheese!" A day off with Mommy, Auntie Feeb and Baby Klayton.....
I love my cousin! "Hold it" as he says often of asking to hold Baby Klay.

Having fun at Elizabeth Park in Bellingham!

Baby Klay's first time in the swings! He did so great!

Morning walk to the park with Mommy, Auntie Feeb and Baby Klayton. Of course we stopped for coffee on the way.... He actually loves to wear his sunglasses...He says "cool dude" whenever he puts them on! We are so happy to live so close to Auntie Feeb and Uncle Kyle and Baby Klay!

Dylan's "New House" and his playroom....He loves his new house!
Boat trip with Daddy, Papa Rob, Grandma Helen, Kyle, Feeb and Baby Klayton. Mommy had to work but the boys had a blast! Sucia Island was the destination.
Auntie Cheryl let us use the pool for the day...It took Dylan awhile to warm up to the water.....
.....but didn't seem to mind it too much......
Happy 4th of July!!! Picnic at David, Gayle and "fishas" house. (Melissa)
