Dylan's First Christmas--Part 1

Dylan, Daddy, and Mommy all started getting sick less than a week before Christmas. We had places to go, and people to see, so we set out on our Christmas trip, and tried not to let it slow us down too much. The first place we went was Hillsboro to see Gradma and Grandpa Johnson, Uncle Justin, and Nana and Papa. We arrived there late Thursday afternoon.

Dylan opened his first Christmas present on Friday the 22nd. He got a big stuffed animal, a sheep dog, from the Billman Family.

Nana and Papa bought him a toy truck.

Dylan posed with Mommy and Daddy in front of the Christmas tree.

On Saturday morning, we packed up and drove up to Bellingham (about a five-hour trip). We went to Christmas dinner at the Stealth and Badass's house.

Dylan liked watching the train going around the Christmas tree there, and he eventually de-railed one of the cars.

On Saturday night, Dylan opened a few more presents.

Dylan's First Christmas--Part 2

Dylan started getting the idea of ripping the wrapping paper off.

Dylan wore one of his pairs of Christmas pajamas on Sunday morning.

Dylan received hugs from his Mommy.

Dylan, Mommy, and Daddy packed up Sunday evening and headed back to Marysville. Daddy had to work at 6 AM on Christmas morning. Dylan's Papa Rob, Grandma Helen, Uncle Timber, Aunt Feebs, and Uncle Kyle came down on Christmas day to celebrate with him.

Dylan tried out Uncle Kyle's Seahawks hat.

Dylan was excited about his new giraffe that Mommy bought him.

After Daddy was off work at 6 PM, everyone opened Christmas presents. Then Lynette hosted a beautiful and very delicious Christmas dinner.

December 14th

Today we were busy. First, we went down to Everett so that Daddy could qualify at the shooting range. Then, we went to Edmonds so that Mommy could cut someone's hair. After that, we did some final Christmas shopping. Mommy bought Dylan a pair of Christmas pajamas that came with this cool hat.

Here, Mommy is bouncing Dylan on her legs.

Dylan checks out one of the ornaments on the tree.

I love Christmas time!

And Mommy!

Happy Holidays!

December 13th

Over the weekend, Lynette decorated the house for Christmas. We picked up Dylan's first Christmas tree! Also, Mommy hung Dylan's first stocking!

Last Thursday, we went to James and Kathy's house to celebrate Scotty B's birthday. Here, Dylan hangs out with the birthday boy.

We set up Dylan's play pen at James and Kathy's house. Dylan grabbed Mommy's scarf and loved it.

On Sunday evening, we met up with Dylan's friend Landon (and Ira & Traci too, of course!). We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Bellevue, and then watched the Festival of Lights. Dylan loved the drums.

Today, Dylan and Daddy are hanging out at home. A variety of people have been stopping by to work on some of the things around the house that are under warranty. Someone fixed a hinge on a cabinet door this morning. A crew came in to fix a seam under the carpet in our bedroom. Painters will be working today and then Friday to paint over some drywall repairs.

Hi!

December 5th

This picture was taken on Wednesday, the 29th of November. Daddy and Dylan drove Mommy to work because the roads were still slippery. Here, Dylan played with his binky, which is one of his favorite activities.

Mommy and Dylan went up to Bellingham to celebrate Great Grandpa Dave's birthday. Dylan had a great time at church on Sunday until it was time for the nursery worker to change his pants.

On Monday, Daddy and Dylan hung out at home. Dylan was very serious about his playtime.

Today, Dylan got dressed up for pictures.

Dylan has two teeth that are finally starting to poke through--one on top, and one on bottom. If you look really close at this picture (after double clicking it to enlarge it), you can see the tooth on the bottom.

The family headed down to Lynnwood to do some shopping and to get the pictures taken. Mommy and Daddy finished up their Christmas shopping for Dylan. Here, Dylan peeked at one of his presents.

Can I play with it now? Please?

Dylan had some pictures taken at Babies R Us, and then we headed to the mall for pictures with Santa. Here, Dylan waited patiently in line to see Santa.

At home, Mommy fed Dylan some peas. Yummy!
