Family Trip To Montana

On Saturday morning (July 26th), we arrived at SeaTac airport for a flight to Bozeman, Montana. We headed there for the Shadoan family reunion (Dylan's Nana is the youngest of 11 Shadoan children). In this picutre, Dylan watched a DVD with Lynette while we waited for the plane.

Dylan loved his first plane ride! He announced, "I flying!" He also asked Lynette for the plane to go faster.

Dylan was tired, though, and ended up taking a long nap on the plane.

We camped at the KOA campground in Livingston that Dylan's great, great Aunt Lucy had built with her husband. Dylan played in the campground playground on Sunday morning before going to church.

Dylan had fun digging in the sand.

On Monday, we visited with Aunt Lucy at her home. Dylan played with one of her cats.

Dylan played with some toys at Aunt Lucy's house. He found a camera that he really liked.

Dylan pretended to take lots of pictures, but the camera was always pointing at him.

On Monday, Papa Dan, Grandma Marilyn (or Bama Marilyn, as Dylan would say it), and Uncle Justin loaded in our rental car with us. We drove to Yellowstone National Park. It was Dylan's first trip to Yellowstone, and it was his first time in Wyoming. In this picture, the three of us stood by the north entrance to the park.

Dylan saw his first elk walking across the street in front of the car.

We checked out some of the terraces by Mammoth Hotsprings.

We saw more elk while driving through the park.

Dylan also saw his first Buffalo, and he pronounced it "Buck-a-low." When he saw us taking so many pictures of it, he said, "Cheese, Buck-a-low!"

We arrived at the Old Faithful viewing area just as it was finishing an eruption. While we waited for the next eruption, Bama Marilyn shared her ice cream sandwich from the gift shop with Dylan.

Dylan enjoyed watching it erupt.

On Tuesday morning, Dylan rode the mechanical horse inside the KOA store. It was the same horse that his Daddy and Uncle Justin rode when they were boys and his Bama Marilyn rode when she was a girl.

Dylan swung with Bama Marilyn and Papa Dan one last time before leaving for the airport on Tuesday morning.
