We've Moved In!

We are in our new home! We received the keys to our home on Friday at around 4 PM. My dad was with us as we did the final walk through, as he had caravaned up from Portland with us Friday. All of our items that had been stored in our PODS container were waiting for us. With the help of Helen and Feebs, we were able to unload everything from the POD, except for the washing machine, on Friday evening. We set up the beds so that we were able to sleep in our house for the first night!

On Saturday, we had the help of Helen, Feebs, Rob, Timber, and Cheryl, and of Chris and James Trefry, and of my dad. We picked up the remaining items that I had stored at my friend McQuoid's house. Collectively, we were able to get quite a bit accomplished. The garage door opener was installed, the washing machine was connected, the china cabinet was assembled, the kitchen items were all put away, many of Dylan's things were assembled, the house was decorated, and the television and stereo were connected. We also had painters come and paint Dylan's room, and a lot of our new furniture was delivered. Our refrigerator was delivered and installed, and our cable and internet access were set up.

On Sunday, the painters came to finish the wall millwork that we had them install. The nursery was painted blue and brown to go with the theme that we picked for it. With the help of my dad, Helen, and Feebs, we set up the nursery. It looks awesome!

Thanks again to everyone who was able to help us out along the way. Lynette is still doing well, and we have a regulary-scheduled doctor's appointment in the morning. Enjoy the pictures!

Wow, you-all accomplished all of that in one weekend! Our God is good! His blessings beyond measure! Your Dad called to report on his way home and your Mom just called. We checked the blog and pictures together with her sharing many details. Papa will enjoy them in the morning. We both are anxious to visit the three of you and your new home, Lord willing in May! Our love and prayers are with each of you.

Your house looks wonderful. We are excited to see it. It must feel so nice to be getting everything settled. It won't be long before baby Dylan will be joining you in it! Lynette, get lots of rest, that helps! :)

Thought for the day....
In my closet hangs a sweater that I seldom wear. It is too small....I should fhrow that sweater away....but love won't let me....
It is a creation of a devoted mother expressing her love...Each strand was chosen with care. Each thread was selected with affection...It is valuable not because f its function, but because of its maker.
That must have been what the psalmist had in mind when he wrote,"you knit me together in my mother's womb".
Think on those words. You were knitted together. You aren't an accident. You weren't mass-produced. You aren't an assemblyine product.
You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Crafts-man...In a system that ranks the value of a human by the figures of his salary or the shapr of her legs...let me tell you something Jesus' plan is a reason for joy! Love Gran
